IPL AUCTION 2017 

On Friday, the officials had confirmed that the auction for the tenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to take place on February 20, 2017, in Bengaluru.

The venue of the biggest money spinner of India wasn't the matter of concerns for the organizers as much as the date was not being confirmed by the BCCI and the IPL committee. Previously, the auctions were scheduled to happen on February 4 but they, later on, they postponed it to the expected dates of the third week of February and now finally the exact date. 

However, there were some speculations which stated that the venue will be shifted from Bengaluru (where the auction is happening from last three years) to Mumbai. But all those seems to be rumors lately.

BCCI’s Committee of Administrators (COA) have finalized the dates for the upcoming season of IPL as the tournament is scheduled to commence from  April 5 and it be will conclude May 21.

After the conclusion of this season, all the IPL franchise will overhaul their squads for the 2018 season. All the players' contracts will be expired this season of the IPL and most players are expected to go under the hammer at a mega auction ahead of the 2018 season. It is still a doubt that how the thing swill plans out for the rules and policies on retention of players for the franchises.
